**About Apotex Inc.**

**Job Summary**:
Responsible for evaluation of all packaging components against approved specifications and current GMP's, in timely fashion to maintain high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsible for ensuring all packaging component test equipment is validated and calibrated, where required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receives and tests incoming printed and unprinted components to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Reports all deviations encountered during the inspection and testing process to the Supervisor immediately.
- Calibrates / verifies all packaging component test equipment (as required) according to the established SOD and ensures that the external calibration tickets have not expired. Reports any failure to the Supervisor.
- Ensures that individual work is performed in full compliance with GMP, SOPs and established safety standards.
- Maintains the receiving logbook and QA database (where applicable).
- With assistance from the Supervisor, investigates non-conformance issues related to packaging components. Initiates QMS investigations as needed and follows up in order to assure completion and closure.
- Provides appropriate level of customer service to other departments as related to packaging components (e.g. retrieval of batch files, PPM masters).
- Works as an effective team member to meet departmental goals, sharing knowledge with team members and others as required.
- Provides coaching to new technician and ensure that training records are completed, as required.
- Scans unprinted batch file electronically
- Prepares and maintains inventory of reagents and testing materials
- Reviews packaging components batch files as required.
- Assists in the creation of specifications for components testing as required.
- Performs regular self-inspection of the QAIP laboratory
- Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.
- Demonstrate Behaviours that exhibit our organizational Values: Collaboration, Courage, Perseverance, and Passion.
- Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
- All other relevant duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Education: University degree in sciences or related field, or combination of college diploma in pharmaceutical technology or related field and experience.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- A good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to follow instructions according to written procedures
- Very good interpersonal skills
- Detailed oriented with good analytical skills.
- Good understanding of GMP's and GLP's.
- Knowledge of MS Office software including Word, Excel and Access.
- Experience:

- 1-2 years of relevant working experience
