**Duties and Responsibilities**

Under the supervision of the General Manager_,_the duties and responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Service Supervisor include, but are not limited to, the following:
**General**
- Responsible for the total performance of the fire alarm service department and ensuring that customers are provided with superior service and support;
- Ensure that all the activities in the fire alarm unit are in compliance with applicable OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) legislation and HSE (Health Safety Environment) safety rules along with Alberta labour laws;
- Provide guidance to the service coordinators and sales department as required;
- Ensure and provide quality service to customers; and
- Answer / place telephone calls and arrange personal visits to maintain customer relations.

**Daily Operations**
- Respond to technician concerns and issues in an effective and efficient manner;
- Responsible for all paperwork generated by the fire alarm technicians to ensure accuracy and completeness as well as follow up with any paperwork that is deficient;
- Price work orders as necessary;
- Ensure that the work order information is accurate and complete;
- Review and sign off on employee reimbursements and timecards;
- Liaise with service coordinators to ensure that the fire alarm technician schedules are booked efficiently and provide guidance to the Service Coordinators as required;
- Receive customer calls regarding quality issues, providing pricing on fire alarm specific service work (including tenders when required), and general issues regarding prior or upcoming fire alarm service work;
- Perform technical duties in the field as necessary to complete a specific job or project;
- Responsible for organizing the fire alarm service technicians; and
- Ensure that deficiency work quoted to customers resulting from fire alarm inspections is accurate and reasonable in terms of scope of work and pricing.

**Health and Safety Management**
- Accountable for the health and safety performance of direct reports;
- Accountable for incidents, investigations and corrective actions;
**Supervision**
- Responsible for the recruiting, hiring and training of all fire alarm technicians;
- Ensure yearly development and progression plans are established and maintained for direct reports;
- Ensure direct reports’ appraisals are conducted, documented, and action plans are established to ensure that areas for improvement are corrected (e.g. Productivity, Safety Infractions, Absenteeism); and
- Ensure that performance discrepancies are addressed and corrective action is taken immediately.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
