Opening for a General Manager of Administration for Toyota Boshoku Canada (TBCA) with responsibility at 2 plants in Southern Ontario located in Woodstock and Elmira.
This role would supervise the Finance, HR, Materials, IT, Program Management and Health & Safety functions while working proactively in mutual teamwork with Production and Quality departments. Key measurables would include maintaining high team member morale while continuously improving the safety culture. We will continue to ensure that both internal and external customers' expectations are exceeded and that TBCA continues to contribute to society through being a profitable company that provides stable and secure employment to our team members and is an active participant in the local community.
**General Summary**: Working knowledge of management systems, identifying potential problems, and resolving them through analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
**Essential Job Functions**:
- Focus and support in creating a safe work environment
- Review of inventory controls and practices
- Review and approve Accounting reports
- Management of plant expense and budgets
- Hoshin development and checking for Admin functions
- Supplier delivery focus
- Oversight of Launch process and resolution for impacts to milestones
- Direct Supervisor of IT function
- Oversight of development and hiring/training programs
- KPI Management for Departments
- Ensure obeya/kobeya activities are executed
- Lead representative for entity J-Sox compliance
- Ensure ISO/TS Systems compliance in all departments
- Enforcement of company, government and regulatory policies
**Minimum Qualifications/Requirements**:
**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Automotive, Operations Management, and HR Experience required.
**Personal/Technical Skills**:
- Dedicated and proven leader able to work closely with all business functions.
- Knowledge of Management systems and the ability to schedule and perform CAR analysis to solve problems found during audits.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrates a high energy level.
- Ability to understand and analyze financial data.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Independent thinking and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
- Advanced math skills are required.
- Develop employee relations centered on trust and teamwork.
- Demonstrates a personality that works in cooperation with other departments towards building a sense of company teamwork.
- Shows positive management skills through leading by example and actively improving employees' work ethic.
- Focuses on continually improving interpersonal skills as outlined during performance review.
- Ability to attend all required training.
- Must be willing to work long hours when needed.
**Language Skills**:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

**Plant**:Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.
**Travel**: Up to 10%
**Physical Demands**:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
