CDE Engineering Ltd. is a privately owned Calgary-based full-service engineering firm. We specialize in providing engineering procurement and construction management services for Canada's energy sector, focusing on the upstream and midstream segments of the oil and gas industry.

Role Description:
We seek a highly organized and efficient Procurement Expeditor to join our team. The Procurement Expeditor will play a vital role in supporting our procurement operations, ensuring timely and efficient procurement of materials and equipment necessary for our projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Reports to:

- Project Manager
- Project Engineers

Main Responsibilities:

- Monitor the status of purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment from suppliers to meet project requirements
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to delivery schedules
- Work closely with the project managers, project engineers, and other departments to ensure procurement requirements are met efficiently and effectively
- Develop and maintain status reports
- Shop expediting purchase orders, as required
- Initiate the close-out of purchase orders
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues affecting a purchase order
- Attend status meetings with clients, project management and suppliers
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks

Required Qualifications:

- Two to four years of procurement experience. Expediting experience in an engineering, procurement, or construction background will be considered an asset
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Ability to work without supervision
