**WHO WE ARE**: Alexander College is a private post-secondary institution serving approximately 4,000 students every year. Students choose to study at Alexander College to complete their Associate of Arts or Science degree or take a variety of University Transfer courses. We strive for excellence in higher education for students from many cultural backgrounds and language abilities by providing university transfer courses and degree programs, individual support services, and campus activities to foster local and global community engagement.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum one-year experience working in an educational institution in an advising, or similar capacity (transferable skills from other areas will be considered)
- Knowledge of the BC College and University system
- Experience working with international students preferred
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist students to create education plans that best suit their needs (ex. Course selection) for both Associate Degree completion and/or University transfer
- Aid student in a deeper understanding of curriculum, degree programs, and other academic requirements and options
- Assist student in the navigation of institution specific policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Assist students to calculate GPA
- Initiate contact with and attend local BC high school college fairs
- Advertise services to new students at Orientation, in classrooms and throughout the campus, and through the use of social media, etc.
- Develop and deliver workshops on post-secondary transfer options and admissions requirements to BCCAT member institutions
- Establish and maintain a list of high school and university contacts

Pay: $50,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
