The Snaplii Digital Wallet has architected a deep bond between Users and Merchants for more efficient communication. The value-added features include making payments with credit cards and exploring favourite merchants and cash-back cards along with the data-driven marketing solutions that allow us to deliver the best in-store and online shopping experience to Users. The interactive platform also benefits the Merchants with a higher level of brand loyalty.
To serve more merchants and users, we are expanding our business and adding more new functions, so that Snaplii can become a digital wallet commonly used by people in North America.
**About the Role**
We are looking for someone with strong analytics capabilities and desire to deliver business impact through data-driven insights. Reporting to the head of Risk Management, you will be a key member of the risk management team, responsible for creating and building credit risk and fraud prevention policies to optimize the company’s profit-risk balance. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including business, product, operations, and finance to grow the business.
**Responsibilities**
- Minimize Snaplii’s fraud losses while optimizing for customer experiencing, using advanced analytics and big data.
- Maximize product profitability within established risk appetite while driving customer satisfaction.
- Be an integral part of the product roadmap in assessing each initiative’s impact to credit risk and fraud risk.
- Create effective controls and reports to monitor the health of the loan portfolio, and to assist executives in business decision-making.
- Liaise with financial auditors and regulators.
**Qualifications**
- You are highly motivated with attention to detail, team oriented, organized, and passionate about data and risk analytics.
- You are thrilled to work in start-up environment with a fast-moving culture.
- Proven ability to analyze data and assess complex issues (strong knowledge of SQL, SAS, Python, or R).
- Experience with complex datasets and data massaging; comfortable with working raw data to build predictive models and risk management policies.
- Excellent written and verbal executive level communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems through concise and clear messaging.
- Self-starter, proactively requisitioning the required resources to accomplish your objectives.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Hands-on experience with speaking to customers and working individual fraud or credit investigations and collections is a plus.
- FRM, CFA, and SAS certifications are a plus.
- Financial industry experience in fintechs or banks is a plus.
