Earthworks Gradesman

**Job Summary**
We’re looking for a skilled **Gradesman** with a hands-on mindset who’s also comfortable supporting general site operations as needed, contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow across all phases of construction. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring precise grading and level control for a variety of earthworks and site preparation projects, while also supporting general site operations. You’ll work closely with excavator operators, supervisors, and engineers to maintain accuracy and ensure jobs are completed to spec—safely and efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set and maintain grades using lasers, levels, and GPS systems
- Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Conduct regular checks to ensure grade accuracy
- Work alongside machine operators to achieve correct levels
- Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with site foremen
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and site procedures

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Proven experience in civil earthworks, especially as a Gradesman
- Strong understanding of grade stakes, levels, and site plans
- Proficiency with laser levels, GPS, or total station equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Safety-first attitude with knowledge of construction site protocols

**Nice to Have (but not essential)**:

- Experience with Trimble or Topcon GPS systems
- Relevant construction tickets or certifications (e.g., White Card, First Aid)

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
