**Position Overview**

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of shipping and receiving operations, including coordinating local deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Shipping Operations**: Coordinate and oversee all shipping activities, including scheduling and tracking package deliveries. Ensure that all shipments are properly labeled, loaded, and dispatched in a timely manner.
- **Receiving Operations**: Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices. Report any discrepancies, damages, or defects to the appropriate parties.
- **Local Deliveries**: Plan and execute local deliveries to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. Coordinate with drivers and customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise.
- **Inventory Management**: Conduct regular inventory counts, record discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of all shipments and receipts. Ensure that inventory levels are maintained and records are kept up to date.
- **Documentation and Compliance**: Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs declarations. Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and requirements, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- **Coordination and Communication**: Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to ensure that all parties are informed throughout the shipping and receiving process.
- **Safety and Organization**: Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area. Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Provide support and guidance to team members as needed.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations. Forklift certification is required.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with warehouse management systems and shipping software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using shipping software such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and Purolator Shipping Manager for scheduling, tracking, and managing shipments efficiently.
- Experience in planning and executing local deliveries, including route planning and coordination with drivers and customers.
- **Licensing**: Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record. A 3-year uncertified driver’s abstract is required upon hire.

**Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
