The Lead Stock Keeper is a key leader for the _shop AT NAIT_ receiving and back of house team. Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Operations, the Lead Stock Keeper provides daily direction to the work performed by team members in the warehouse. The position also addresses questions and concerns from department staff, customers, and courier. This is a very collaborative role in a team environment. The role is expected to work on a shift basis, including the occasional evening and weekend.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the onboarding, training, and coaching of staff working in the warehouse
- Role modelling accuracy and support for departmental policies, procedures, and expectations
- Completing administrative duties, including processing packing slips, maintaining inventory records, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy between invoices and purchase orders
- Providing daily direction to staff regarding priorities and tasks, ensuring work is completed timely, accurately, with the appropriate amount of labour, and with a positive attitude
- Shipping, receiving, verifying, and tagging products with the support of the team
- Ensuring timely product availability in each store location at required levels
- Providing oversight that the warehouse and inventory stay organized with space optimized
- Organizing floor stock and recommending shelf layout options
- Flagging inventory that is potentially ‘stale’ for the Assistant Manager and Buying team
- Maintaining communication with Buyers and sales floor leaders

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Attention to detail, problem solving, planning and prioritizing skills, the ability to act with urgency to meet deadlines, and organizational skills are strong assets
- Computer literacy with inventory management and Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite experience
- A positive, respectful attitude with skills in teamwork and customer service
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and hours to support business need
- The ability to lift 50 lbs (boxes of product), plus a willingness and ability to use a pallet jack

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of experience working in a leadership capacity in a customer-focused field
- 3 - 5 years of experience working in a retail warehouse environment; other related experience may be considered
- Completion of High School (Grade 12) is required; post-secondary education in supply chain management or business administration would be an asset
- Equivalencies may be considered

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

**Remuneration**: $45,091.80 - $56,284.02 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Stockkeeper II)
- This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement._
