Alternate Weekend Cook

Southdown is located in Holland Landing (York Region),and is accessible from the GTA or Simcoe
County. Our award-winning fully accessible facility is located in a setting of natural beauty on 37
private acres. Southdown provides a welcoming and supportive environment conducive to healing
and well-being of body, mind, and spirit.

**Position Summary**:
We are seeking to fill a permanent part-time position of Alternate Weekend Cook. The main duties of
the cook are to prepare main courses, salads, soups and sauces for lunch and supper from menus
prepared by the Kitchen Supervisor. Food must be appealing and tasty. The Cook ensures a sanitary
and safe working environment and meets all public health and food handling standards and
regulations. The Cook will safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of clients and maintain
appropriate boundaries with clients at all times.

**Hours and Wage**: Saturday and Sunday 7:30am to 5:30pm and half of all statutory holidays. Wage
$ 18.10/hour.

**Qualifications**:
accredited cooking school OR equivalent experience in an institutional or commercial environment.
