Mel's Diner and Café is a family-owned business which provides quality breakfast and lunch 7-days a week. We are currently seeking to employ a cook, see below for the job description.

**Role Description**

We are looking for a full-time or part-time on-site role for a Cook at Mel's Diner and Café located at 2525 Old Bronte Road, Oakville, ON. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to the menu, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and hygiene standards, and assisting with menu planning and inventory management. The Cook will also be responsible for coordinating with kitchen staff, ensuring timely and accurate food preparation, and providing excellent customer service.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in food preparation and cooking
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus (preferably at least one year in a breakfast restaurant as a cook)
- Culinary certification is beneficial

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
