Allocation Analyst

**The Role**:
As an Allocation Analyst, you are responsible for managing the allocations for both Livestock and Size? Through the use of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports, you will develop weekly allocation plans, assortment plans to build and maintain inventory stock. Through partnership with management, you will ensure timely, effective allocations that support the needs of the stores and the business.
**Duties/Responsibilities**:
- Optimize option counts and inventory levels in store and warehouse to meet or exceed sales, margin while maintaining option and inventory unit capacity.
- Allocate new products to stores on time, ensuring a premium consumer experience with complete size runs and depth available.
- Replenish inventory to stores based on sales trends, anticipating demand to ensure stores capitalize on opportunities.
- Monitor inventory levels by age of inventory, top sellers, and brand to quickly identify OTB opportunities.
- Work closely with buyers and planners to capitalize on these opportunities.
- Collaborate with buyers and planners to create and implement exit strategies that maximize profit and ensure inventory turn targets are met.
- Executes the buyer and planner’s merchandising strategies in store through allocations and replenishment.
- Partner with visual merchandising to ensure standards of excellence are met in store by keeping products in stock.
- Incorporate marketing efforts into weekly allocations and replenishment activities to ensure maximum impact and capture sales opportunities.
- Create tools and ad-hoc reports to manage allocation processes effectively and efficiently.
- Support planner as needed with additional analysis.
**Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed**:
- 2-3 years allocations experience at either a vertical or multi-brand retailer.
- Very strong communication skills: oral, visual, written.
- Good business analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to aid in effective decision-making; Strong problem solving skills
- Interpersonal abilities to perform effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented environment, where partnering with others and building strong working relationships are critical; Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of inventory planning is an asset.
- Experience working in an office is an asset.
