**Job Summary**:
The Economic Inclusion Director oversees the Economic Inclusion team, with a focus on employment, workforce preparation, and post-secondary autism support services. This is a full-time, one-year term position based in Halifax with provincial responsibilities, involving both local and provincial travel, and occasional national travel for annual projects. The Director will be responsible for leading teams in advocating for inclusive hiring, providing workforce preparation, and supporting individuals with autism in accessing post-secondary education opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Program Oversight**
- Manage employment, community transition, and post-secondary programs, including career exploration and job coaching.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Employment, Workforce Preparation, and Post-Secondary Autism Support Services teams.
**Team Leadership**
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support for managers and program staff.
- Provide guidance and support for the team to achieve program goals.
**Program Evaluation**
- Oversee regular program evaluations and reporting to track progress and outcomes.
**Partnership Development**
- Build and maintain relationships with employment service providers across Nova Scotia.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for new partnerships, funding, and initiatives.
**Strategic Alignment**
- Align staff workplans with organizational goals and objectives.
- Ensure all initiatives and outcomes are in line with provincial and national goals.
**Outcome Achievement**
- Meet provincial and national employment outcomes related to grants and projects.
- Advocate for inclusive hiring and support for job seekers with autism.
**Advocacy**
- Address community needs and coordinate efforts across departments to ensure effective service delivery.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s or professional degree is an asset).
- 5+ years in people leadership and 3+ years in employment or post-secondary support services.
- 8+ years working with individuals with autism and supporting their transition into employment.
- Experience supporting youth and adults transitioning out of high school.
- Strong understanding of career exploration, post-secondary education, and inclusive workplace practices.
- Experience with person-directed planning and knowledge of disability employment and social support systems.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain partnerships with schools, businesses, and community programs.

- Data Management: Proficient in data collection and outcome tracking.
- Crisis Management: Problem-solve and respond effectively to challenges.
- Staff Training: Identify training needs and ensure staff are supported.
- EDIRA Awareness: Respect for cultural and socioeconomic diversity.
- High professionalism, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Excel for tracking progress.
- Fluency in French/Arabic is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments.

- CPR-C and First Aid certification (updated yearly).
- Maintain NVCI training.
- Clear criminal record check.
- Must have a valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and use of a reliable vehicle.
