**Position Overview**

We are seeking an experienced **Plumbing Technician** to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful **Plumbing Technician** will be able to perform the necessary duties including but not limited to Install repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems from start to finish, maintain a positive attitude and teach apprentices the trade.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing standards and the city plumbing code

Ensure health and safety regulations are followed

Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity

Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematic drawings

Work in an organized environment and effectively communicate within a positive team environment

**Education and Experience**

5 years of plumbing service experience

**Qualifications**

Valid Ontario 306A Plumber’s certificate of qualification

G2 gas license required

Backflow Certification required

Knowledge of boiler hydronic heating systems an asset

Wiling to participate in an on-call schedule

Writing, oral communication, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, organizing and job task planning.

Team player, motivated and detail orientated

Valid driver's license, and clean drivers abstract

WHIMIS and working at heights

Must be able to work onsite on a day-to-day basis in Southwestern Ontario

Basic security clearance and criminal record check
