**Infrastructure Specialist - VMware, Storage & Networking (Ottawa, ON)Position Summary**
**Infrastructure Operations & Support**:
- Maintain and monitor VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines
- Support enterprise storage platforms (SAN/NAS) with attention to performance, capacity, and resiliency
- Troubleshoot and maintain networking infrastructure including switching, VLANs, firewalls, and routing
- Perform incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues
**Provisioning & Configuration Management**:
- Provision virtual machines and allocate storage volumes as per project and operational needs
- Conduct system updates including firmware, drivers, and hypervisor upgrades
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with compliance and security standards
**Security, Monitoring & Documentation**:
- Support enforcement of security controls and remediation of vulnerabilities in coordination with InfoSec teams
- Maintain and tune monitoring tools for early detection of performance or capacity risks
- Produce technical documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and build books
- Participate in infrastructure reviews, audits, and readiness assessments as required
**Required Experience**
**Key Qualifications & Experience**:
- Demonstrated experience managing VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
- Solid understanding of enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS), provisioning, and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with networking infrastructure: Layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, and firewall configurations
- Proven troubleshooting and incident management skills in production environments
- Active or eligible for Government of Canada Secret Clearance
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Certifications such as VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or CompTIA Security+
- Experience with monitoring tools such as vRealize, SolarWinds, or PRTG
- Prior work experience in government, defense, or secure environments
**Work Environment & Additional Details**
Location: Ottawa, ON
Work Arrangement: Onsite or hybrid depending on client/project requirements
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for Secret (Level II) Security Clearance
Team Collaboration: Works closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational support teams

Pay: $70,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
