**Position Overview**

Experienced Fibre Optic Installation Technicians work in crews and/or alone, performing tasks associated with the installation of fibre optic cable from the street to residential apartment buildings, townhouse complexes and commercial buildings. The work involves the following:

- Running cables from poles, manholes, and trenches to building suites and
electrical rooms.
- Installing conduit and terminating structured cable.
- All work conducted using safe work practices and CSA approved safety and fall protection equipment.
- Working at heights and in enclosed areas when required (training will be
provided)
- Complete a site from start to finish.
- Complete all required field paperwork.
- Customer service

**Qualifications**
- 3-5 years of experience installing telephone, cellular, cable television, or internet
systems is an asset.
- Those with fiber optic experience and/or related post-secondary
telecommunications certificates will be given preference.
- Willingness to travel within BC is an asset.
- Heavy lifting, manual dexterity, and proficient use of installation tools are required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to work as part of a results-focused team.

Wage to be determined, $30 - $35 per hour depending on experience / training.

Health / Dental Benefits & PPE allowance - eligibility upon completion of three (3)
month probation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
