**ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, PRE-SERVICE MATHEMATICS EDUCATION**

**ONE YEAR LIMITED TERM APPOINTMENT**
- Provide evidence of effective teaching of courses related to pre-service primary/junior/intermediate (K-10) teacher education in mathematics education in a post-secondary context.
- Provide evidence of teaching diverse groups of learners and incorporating equity and inclusion into their pedagogy and practices.
- Have a minimum of three years teaching experience of mathematics in K-10 Canadian school contexts.
- Provide evidence of an emerging research program in mathematics education and/or related fields.
- Have teaching experience in Ontario.
- Have extensive experience teaching mathematics at the K-10 level.
- Could be eligible for graduate faculty status.

The duties and responsibilities of the position are as follows:

- Teach core mathematics education courses (primary/junior and junior/intermediate) in the Bachelor of Education program.
- Engage in an active research program related to pre-service teacher education in mathematics education and/or related fields.
- Engage in leadership and active service to the Faculty and the University.
