Meanwhile, Forge FC, four-time Canadian Premier League (CPL) champions, epitomizes soccer excellence. Together, under the umbrella of Hamilton Sports Group, these teams epitomize the best that Canadian sports have to offer.
**Position Summary**
The Community Partnerships Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Manager of Community Partnerships and other team members to support the development, execution, and growth of impactful community programs and initiatives. This role is instrumental in fostering relationships with key stakeholders, managing community-focused events and campaigns, and promoting engagement through grassroots marketing and social responsibility efforts. The position supports the organization’s mission to create meaningful connections within the community, strengthen partnerships, and enhance the overall brand impact of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Assist in the creation, implementation, and execution of community programs, including**:
- Youth Football and Soccer Partner Programs.
- Gender-Based Violence Awareness Programs.
- Anti-Bullying Campaigns.
- Player Engagement Initiatives.
**Plan, set up, and execute community events requiring player and coach involvement, including**:
- Autograph signings.
- Speaking engagements.
- Guest appearances for internal and third-party events.
- Photo and video shoots.
- Serve as the liaison between the organization and community partners, fostering new relationships and strengthening existing partnerships.
- Maintain updated records of all community plans, processes, and events.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of community-related player appearances.
- Support the community ticket donation program with local non-profit organizations.
- Support community initiatives that position the organization as a leader in fostering a diverse and inclusive community and workplace.
- Fulfill mascot and performance team appearance requests.
- Coordinate prizing and charitable donation requests.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Passion for sports, community engagement and social impact
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with grassroots sports and marketing.
- Knowledge of the Canadian sports landscape, particularly the CFL and Canadian Premier League, is an asset.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in sports management, community development, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of Experience in event planning and execution.
- Detail-oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Powerful written communication skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative.
- Proactive.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work an event-based schedule that includes nights, weekends, and extended hours.
