Your role
As a web editor based at the Radio-Canada station in Saguenay, you will work with teams from Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and Côte-Nord. In your role, you will collaborate with production, programming, communications, as well as promotion and marketing teams.
Your main responsibilities will be to showcase content on digital platforms:
- Adapt our content to various digital platforms and format reports in different digital formats (long-form pieces, magazine-style content, photo essays, special projects, Empreintes, etc.).- Support teams in the creation of these long-form formats (act as a liaison with the digital production team).- Produce maps, tables, and data visualizations using various tools.- Develop visual elements for special projects.- Update pages for shows, journalists, and other content contributors.- Suggest creative ways to highlight content and have a strong sense for compelling presentation.- Create content on location and in collaboration with the production teams involved.- Understand the codes and conventions of different platforms by staying on top of trends.- Interact with and foster engagement within the community.- Maintain a strategic vision aligned with objectives established in collaboration with the relevant teams.- Manage a publishing calendar.- Analyze results, make recommendations, and adjust strategy accordingly.
Your profile:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Three (3) years of experience
**Skills**:
- Strong writing skills and excellent command of written French- Very good knowledge of digital platforms and social media- Sharp communication skills- Attention to detail and precision- Autonomy and initiative- Strong organizational and time-management skills- Ability to adapt and prioritize- Capacity to work under pressure- Ability to quickly learn various tools (CMS and internal video editing tools)- Ability to understand user behavior and propose visibility strategies- Ability to perform tech watch and provide recommendations- Good knowledge of Radio-Canada’s goals and direction- Interview- General knowledge, French, and writing tests
