Southwire Job Description

Job Summary/Objective:
Our Services and Solutions business is a rapidly growing division of Southwire, serving electrical utilities across North America with an advanced portfolio of utility services and smart grid solutions that enhance the reliability and resiliency of the electric grid. This position sits in our cable rejuvenation services business, which utilizes our proven and advancing technology to rehabilitate previously installed underground electrical cables.

The Director, Field Services will lead operations for a geographically dispersed electrical skilled trades workforce. This position provides vision and leadership to front line operations managers, requiring extensive experience in multiple disciplines such as project management, passion for building teams, empowering others, and creating a safety-first culture. The Director, Field Services will partner with the leadership team to plan, coordinate, and oversee operations activities while having P&L, and financial responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive growth in field services at a rate exceeding 15% CAGR over the first five years.
- Manage pricing, operational efficiency, and labor force utilization in a manner that yields margins expected within the Field Service business.
- Establish KPIs and track the success of the business
- Maintain knowledge of current market activities and trends, competitor offerings, share size, and changes in customer demand.
- Create pricing models for testing services projects.
- Lead resource planning efforts (both human capital and equipment) in support of the overall growth.
- Work with the Field Service Sales organization on business development activities.
- Manage sales and margin of the field services business and make recommendations for corrective actions based on results versus plan.
- Cultivate relationships with existing clients through exceptional project delivery.
- Actively participate in industry events and associations.

Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- 10 + years in Leadership, Business Analysis, Operations, Financial Management in the Utility Services Industry
- Proven track record for building teams in utility contract space
- High attention to detail

- Knowledge of Canadian regulations

- travel domestic and international up to 75%

Pay: $120,476.75-$199,149.63 per year
