**DESCRIPTION**

Cummins currently has a Hybrid Field service diesel technician position for our Distribution business in Lethbridge, Alberta. The work will be both in the field and in the shop.

**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways**:

- Establish and continually develops productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
- Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor.
- Coache and develops technicians and/or apprentices and transfers knowledge and experience to others; may provide work direction; may review repair plans, parts lists, etc.
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Identifies additional sales and service opportunities with customer.
- Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**In order to be successful in this role you will need the following**:
**Education, Licenses, Certifications**:

- Heavy duty mechanic red seal certification is required for this position.
- Valid local driver’s license is required for this position.
- A clean driver’s abstract is required for this position.

**Experience**:

- Significant field service work experience
- Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
- Customer service experience
- Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians is an asset
- High and low voltage experience is an asset for this role

**About the role**:

- Cummins offers a 5000$ sign on bonus for this role
- Working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday
- Most of the work is engine work in the field with some in-shop work.
- Servicing Medicine Hat, Lethbridge and Sparwood area.
- Some traveling to be expected (accommodations provided)
- Salary is 48.83$ hourly

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- A copy of your red seal certification or trade’s diploma is required for this position.
- A copy of a 5 years driver’s abstract is required for this position.
