About the role

**This is a temporary position with a duration of 24 months.**

**What You’ll Do**:

- Conduct detailed risk analysis involving program/product requirements, including but not limited to an assessment of the property, market, borrower and loan, which may involve financial, legal and professional reviews.
- Exercise prudence and diligence to ensure compliance with all relevant internal policies and procedures applicable to the function.
- Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs and objectives and explore opportunities.
- Work in a team environment and contribute to service standards and turnaround times.
- Engage internal support functions such as legal services, policy and operations, and borrower analysis to seek clarification and concurrence in support of recommendations.

**What you should have**:

- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as business, accounting, finance or commerce, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of three years' experience in credit risk and/or financial analysis.
- A capacity to review and understand financial statements, as well as borrower legal structures.
- A strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong decision-making skills.
- A strong oral and written communication skills in French and English with the ability to clearly communicate decisions and tackle objections when required.
- The ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships (colleagues and partners).
- A strong ability to work efficiently and achieve great results in a mostly hybrid environment with little supervision.
- A strong understanding of serviced client groups in Canada, including related legal documentation.

**It would be great if you also had**:

- A knowledge of Real estate financing and/or multi-unit underwriting.
