**Finance Manager

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Lead research on technical accounting matters, prepare memos, and coordinate with auditors to ensure alignment and implementation of conclusions.
- Collaborate with various departments (Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Internal Audit) to develop and advise on accounting policies.
- Interpret new GAAP and SEC rules and regulations and assess their impact on the business.
- Prepare special reports on significant accounting standard changes, conducting thorough research for accuracy and completeness.
- Establish best practices for reporting and identify and communicate any inconsistencies to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Manage reporting and filing deadlines.
- Collaborate with Internal Audit to implement and maintain reporting procedures for compliance with SOX 404 control requirements.
- Prepare commentary for monthly financial reporting packages delivered to stakeholders, including Private Equity Owners, Audit Committee, Lenders, and Internal Management.
- Handle special projects such as preparing UK IFRS financials, coordinating year-end audits, and tasks related to IPO readiness.
- Support the internal controls team by overseeing the controls environment, providing training to control owners, and assisting with remediation of control deficiencies when needed.
**PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:
- Over 5 years of previous technical financial reporting in a SOX environment and/or related audit experience
- Accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CA, CMA)
- Technical expertise related to US GAAP and SEC financial reporting.
- IFRS and Manufacturing experience preferred.
- A strong team builder and developer of people.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills. Proven ability to convey key messages in a concise and clear manner.
- Adaptable and agile. Able to work effectively in a very fast paced environment.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and conflict while maintaining composure and managing stress.
- Ability to identify financial weaknesses and implement effective internal controls.
- Detailed oriented with ability to summarize and provide concise explanations
