Housing/student Service Coordinator

**About the Position**

Urban International School (UIS) is a private high school in Toronto inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education in Ontario, Canada. Over the last decade, we have offered specialized academic courses that are designed for students who wish to pursue higher education in Canada and around the world. Based on the program students wish to pursue in post-secondary school, UIS prepares a customized study plan that underlies one of our four streams: Engineering, Science/Math, Business, Arts or College. Most of our graduates are accepted in prestigious universities such as the University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, McGill University, among many other Canadian and international universities.

UIS has a friendly and dedicated team of Ontario-certified teachers who teach courses from Grade 7 to Grade 12 to a diverse student body that includes students from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America.

**About the Position**

**Responsibilities and Duties**

1) **50% as School Housing Coordinator**

a. Work as a liaison between students, school and homestay families to build a long-term and healthy relationship with them.

b. Develop a recruiting plan for new homestay families in Toronto for students who are registered for Urban International School.

d. Visiting and assessing homestay family upon the appointment to discuss their concerns and other issues.

e. Coordinate pre-booking for coming students, extension and placements to match them with the ideal homestay family including airport pickup placement and its service.

f. Handle and resolve any housing concerns and issues along with the Student Advisor Department.

g. Always be ready for the emergency phone line

h. Coordinate and manage all aspects relating to the school residence and its booking with the Student Advisor Department.

i. Coordinate and be responsible for airport pickup service on request from the student advisor department until they safely arrive in their accommodation.

2) **50% as Student Service Coordinator**

a. Create, Implement, and Supervise many internal/external high school activities under the supervision of the senior management team.

b. Arrange and oversee the School Activities Programs to make a fun and healthy learning environment for the students.

c. To provide overall leadership, supervision and coordination of all school clubs/events in the school to create a learning environment for the students.

d. Ensure that overall school non-academic programs & events is smooth and efficient.

e. Providing academic/student life guidance and support to our international high school students along with UIS Student Counselor Department.

**Qualification and Skills**
- Speaking English and second language would be asset such as Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
- Previous knowledge and experience with the educational industry such as high school, post-secondary institutions or ESL schools.
- Must have a driving license.
- Recent Graduate is always welcomed for this position.
- Highly ambitious and self-motivated with a strong sense of teamwork to accomplish goals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
