Entrepreneurship Course Instructor

Calgary, Canada The Immigrant Education Society (TIES) Full time

**Purpose**

Reporting to the Entrepreneurship Program Lead; the instructor is required to teach 9 hours of Entrepreneurship Skills curriculum using Participatory Learning Methods, with 3 hours of paid preparatory time. The instructor will follow the developed curriculum and guide 10-15 new immigrant women entrepreneurs through a 10-week cohort.

**Key Responsibilities **
- Conduct needs-assessment and follow appropriate lessons and activities accordingly
- Work with female clients from a variety of ethnicities and help them grow their entrepreneurship skills and foster engagement in various business development core learning areas
- Facilitate and administer appropriate lessons and activities to meet the needs of the clients
- Assist female entrepreneur clients and connect them to the available pool of coaches and mentors and follow up to ensure that they are getting the most from these connections
- Work closely with each client to maintain motivation and a desire to find develop their businesses to their full capacity
- Motivate and guide clients to participate in problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Critique and evaluate client performance and provide feedback for achieving success
- Record client attendance, prepare weekly management reports and update files when necessary
- Demonstrate commitment to the mission, the goals, and the educational philosophy of TIES
- Attend internal and external meetings of the organization
- Perform other related duties requested by the supervisors

- entrepreneurship: 2 years (preferred)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
