We are currently seeking a **Geotechnical Drilling Supervisor** to work out of our **Kitchener **office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical services in a field and office environment;
- Perform site reconnaissance, inspections, and observations;
- Carry out field work related to geotechnical, environmental, and hydrogeological investigations including, but not limited to:

- Borehole layout and organizing utility locates
- Supervising drill rigs and/or excavators
- Logging boreholes and test pits
- Classification of soil samples
- Identification of groundwater table
- Environmental sampling
- Site surveying to determine elevations at specific locations, and
- Sampling soil and groundwater
- Preparing detailed site sketches;
- Assist with summarizing and analyzing findings from investigations and lab testing for report writing;
- Work with and provide support to other members of the group in assisting with other field and office activities as required.

**Job Requirements**:

- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technician/Technology or Construction Engineering Technician Engineering Technician/Technology is considered an asset;
- 5+ years previous experience working as a geotechnical, hydrogeological, and/or environmental technician;
- Working towards C.Tech. or C.E.T. designation is considered an asset;
- CCIL - Category “0” Concrete Technician is considered an asset;
- CCIL - Category “C’ Aggregate technician is considered an asset;
- Team player with ability to work independently or in a team environment;
- Strong technical report writing skills and verbal communication skills;
- Must own a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage, and hold a valid driver's license;
- Strong organizational skills; and,
- Knowledge of drilling procedures is an asset.
