BC Cancer is looking for a General Practitioner in Oncology to join its team in beautiful Victoria. This site offers a full range of services in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, and support services such as Nutrition, Clinical Trials and Patient and Family Counseling. BC Cancer - Victoria also partners with a network of community centres such as Nanaimo, BC, so that patients can continue to receive systemic therapy in their local communities. **The successful applicant will**: Work with a team of specialized medical oncologists and allied health professionals and participate exclusively in the care of Oncology patients. Participate in the treatment and follow up of patients, after curative and palliative treatment planning. Engage in clinical trials, as the opportunities arise. What you bring Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. (FRCP, FRCS or CCFP) Eligibility for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer, and Royal Jubilee Hospital. Eligibility for appointment to the University of British Columbia. In-patient and oncology experience is an asset but is not required. No previous experience in medical oncology is required; BC Cancer will support your training, involving both didactic virtual teaching, and in-clinic patient-related instruction. Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019). Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
