**You’ll do**:
- Ensure a safe work environment for the Heavy Duty Maintenance department by enforcing safe work practices, supporting company policies, investigating incidents and ensuring proper training and adherence to maintenance best practices
- Work collaboratively with the Log Yard, Forklift, Kiln & energy and Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) departments to effectively maintain equipment
- Manage, schedule and supervise a crew, including work orders, priorities, shutdowns, and breakdowns
- Manage all maintenance aspects of capital and major projects, including the crane
- Work with Heavy Duty Mechanics to coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Initiate maintenance expense and capital budgets and oversee all maintenance costs
**You have**:
- A post-secondary degree in mechanical engineering OR a valid journeyman trade certificate, with preferably 5-8 years relevant work experience
- Strong leadership, planning, budgeting and troubleshooting skills
- Well-established organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding team player and team-building skills
- Excellent innovation and problem-solving skills
- The desire to progress, learn, grow and succeed
- Forestry industry experience is an asset
