**Job Summary**:
The **Director, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)** is accountable for developing, implementing, and managing Compass Group Canada’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy and programs.
Now, if you were to come on board as our **Director, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion**, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Own the strategic creation, development and implementation of the Diversity & Inclusion roadmap and plans to be consistent with the Compass Group Canada and People & Culture strategies including key stakeholder management
- Oversees all Diversity & Inclusion programs, strategic initiatives and policies and ensures that they are well managed and carried out effectively
- Develop goals and key metrics for assessing the effectiveness of diversity initiatives
- Stay current on emerging issues, trends, and evolving provincial/federal requirements and partner with various business teams to identify opportunities and assess potential impacts to the organization
- Identify, build, and maintain community partnerships to support Compass Group Canada’s diversity and inclusion projects, plans, initiatives, and business strategies
- Recruit, select, hire and on-board the best talent; lead, coach, motivate and retain a team of high performing employees

- Undergraduate degree required
- Proven, progressive experience and demonstrated effectiveness leading Diversity & Inclusion related initiatives and programs (5+ years direct experience in the field required)
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and interact effectively with all levels of the organization and communities outside the organization
- Excellent advisor with strong business acumen and judgment who is able to create a compelling vision, and translate strategy and business requirements into clear, actionable goals to achieve results
- Strong, operational, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, manage multiple projects and possess a strong knowledge of diversity metrics and analytics
