Background & Purpose of Job

The factory Warehouse Supervisor (Receiving) supports the Logistics Department within the Simcoe Plant in the following manner:
- Responsible for tactical factory logistics operations, including inbound off loading and put away, and line replenishment- Accountable to deliver daily schedule adherence, logistics cost savings, customer service, and inventory accuracy at the site- Implement process improvement through operational scorecards and WCM methods- Lead a team of receivers & coordinators for executing the site strategy- Execute the product group and site level factory logistics strategy- Support internal and external operational benchmarking activities

Who You Are & What You’ll Do- Manage all warehouse activities in a 24/7 environment, which includes processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.- Regularly cascading and/or communicating site targets and goals from the leadership team to shift crews on a consistent and accurate basis.- Oversee receipt, storage, and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.- Prepare and coordinate schedules for receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.- Provide support to the plant material planners with accurate inventory balances through plant cycle-count programs.- Play a significant role in developing maintenance solutions to drive department improvements.- Drive breakdown RCAs to manage cost and reduce downtime- Coordinate with contractors and supplies on repairs and maintenance of all equipment, lifts, dock doors, etc in the warehouse- Assist in delivering required training to ensure that all coworkers have the necessary skills to perform their jobs properly and safely.- Participate in the development of the annual department budget, and responsible for maintaining department’s budget under control.

You’re a born leader: Direct leadership of around 15 warehouse staff. Support and interact with a large community of internal and external partners and stakeholders.

You’re a strategy guru: Ability to strategize and flex at a moment’s notice due to changes in Production schedule, labor issues & space constraints.

You’re a paradox navigator: Manages multiple workstreams and understand the needs of production and processing to ensure success of overall factory.

You’re a culture & change champion: Ability to multi-task proactively and re-prioritize on a daily basis to accommodate the changing business requirements.

What You’ll Need to Succeed- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred- 3+ years’ work experience with competencies in Warehouse Management Systems, Business Operations and Fleet management- Inventory Management, Customer Service, Logistics and/or Supply Chain Planning knowledge- Operational Knowledge of Warehouse and Transportation Processes- Optimizing Supply Chain Integrated Performance- Strong Analytical & Systems Skills- Strong Leadership and Influencing Skills- Understanding of Continuous Improvement Process- Optimization of Supply Chain and Logistics KPI’s- Alliance & Relationship Management- Ability to understand and influence stakeholders & decision makers
