Working in the Product Management & Purchasing Department, you will be responsible for placing orders and following up with suppliers to ensure the availability of merchandise in the required quantity and at the required time, while ensuring inventory turnover in accordance with the company's objectives.

Here's an overview of your tasks:

- Take ownership of the agreements in place with certain vendors, develop purchasing scenarios to maximize the return on investment and submit recommendations to the Product Manager
- Place orders suggested by the purchasing system on a daily basis: validate the parameters and place the purchase orders;
- Manage the suppliers' backlogs (B/O) and report the information adequately in the different systems
- Take action to correct discrepancies in quantities, prices and payment terms between the supplier's invoice and the purchase order
- Follow up on excess inventory on orders and negotiate their cancellation with the suppliers concerned
- Proceed with warranty claims on defective products returned by our customers to suppliers (returns, claims, credits)
- Respond to correspondence from our suppliers and internal customers
- Participate in the continuous improvement of our processes and procedures
- Actively negotiate with our suppliers
- Contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system for purchasing

**DESIRED PERSONAL SKILLS**:

- Bachelor's degree in administration or Dec in procurement (experience deemed equivalent will also be considered)

- Minimum 2 years experience in a related field
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of procurement system (D365 an asset)
