The Pharmacy Administration Assistant is responsible for providing superior customer service in a friendly, knowledgeable and professional manner. The PAA's ability to successfully complete a complex array of administrative and technical tasks relating to the job is critical to providing a high standard of care to our patient population.
**Here's where you'll be focusing**:

- Payroll
- Submitting invoices for payment
- Building equipment audits (ex: pallet jack, loading dock, generator)
- Ensuring committees are meeting and taking minutes for these meetings (ex: OH&S, DE&I and events committees)
- Managing vacation request deadlines and facilitating the collection of all vacation requests by the deadline.
- Following up with suppliers on deliveries
- Ordering office and facility supplies
- Management of cash functions including end of day reports.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Assisting in the pharmacy dispensary if needed

**Technical Skills**:
**Required**:

- Above average communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team player committed to customer service excellence
- Self-directed and able to work independently to meet strict deadlines

**Preferred**:

- Previous pharmacy experience
- Experience with Lawtons Drugs/Sobeys Pharmacy systems (i.e.Kroll, POS).
- Experience with electronic communication (including but not limited to) Microsoft Word and Excel

**Education and Experience**:
**Required**:

- High School Diploma

**Preferred**:

- Undergraduate degree, Pharmacy Technology Certificate or other Pharmacy recognized program
