- Capable of performing the following duties without supervision:
- Review and monitor production schedule to prioritize shipments
- Generate and/or complete appropriate shipping documents including packing slips, bills of lading, customs documentation, custom shipping documents etc. in a timely fashion
- Maintain accurate records in an organized manner to be easily located as required,
- Request quotes on required shipments from multiple different carriers prior to scheduling
- Arrange shipments with chosen carriers and define pickup and delivery schedules to fulfill the customer requirements
- Arrange shipments with designated carriers for subcontract requirements
- Assist with incoming shipments by obtaining quotations and preparing documentation as required
- Work efficiently with all departments for all shipment requirements to ensure accurate shipping requirements are communicated
- Assist with receiving incoming goods, identifying materials and transferring material to designated storage locations in an efficient, safe, and organized manner,
- Receiving and/or issuing parts & materials to jobs or stock as applicable.
- Maintain organization of yard and ensuring all items stored in the yard are placed in the correct designated location.
- Load and unload shipments as required.

**Qualifications**Education**
- High School Diploma / GED Equivalent

**Competencies**
- Responsible, reliable and self-motivated employee with proven skills and ability to reliably performance of a wide range of duties without supervision.
- Must have valid driver’s license with exemplary driving record and be capable of driving 1 ton truck (standard transmission) and all forklifts when required,
- Must have knowledge and ability to operate over head cranes.
- Must have basic knowledge of bearings & seals and handling requirements of bearings and seals,
- Must be able to read and understand drawings,
- Must demonstrate good knowledge of safe rigging and materials handling practices and be capable estimating loads and eyebolt and sling capacities capacity
- Must be capable of following instructions pertaining to handling and working with dangerous goods (WHIMIS)
- Must demonstrate aptitude and desire to learn good operating practices through observation and practice
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills & communicate in a courteous and efficient manner with all personnel, suppliers and customers.
