We are currently looking for a seasoned Transportation & Logistics Manager with strong leadership, organizational, and people development skills to join our team.

The Transportation and Logistics Manager is an experienced leader comfortable overseeing all logistics and transportation requirements for all Yurek locations. They will lead a team to optimize the logistics operations related to the delivery of products throughout the southwest region.

The Transportation and Logistics Manager will ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely distribution of products to meet customer demand while maximizing service levels. They will ensure operational excellence and day-to-day customer, employee, and company success is realized through providing guidance, coaching, and problem-solving assistance to the Supervisors and Individual Contributors on their team. In parallel, they will have a strong understanding of key principles in distribution, fulfillment, and transportation and can rely on their education and experience to recommend and successfully implement new ideas to drive the business forward and allow for further growth.

They are an SME in their field and rely on KPIs that span their departments, to ensure our performance is best-in-class and our team members are being developed with the right skills.

**The responsibilities for the Transportation & Logistics Manager will include**:

- Lead and oversee a team of delivery coordinators, pick and pack, receiving, shipping and driver pool.
- Act as the first point of contact for escalated delivery, promoting swift resolution.
- Develop and nurture strong partnerships with suppliers, external partners and clients managing cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics, distribution and pick and pack processes.
- Responsible for the scheduling and execution of all modes of transportation - Full time/part employees, contract drivers, 3rd party carriers.
- Route Optimization: Optimize delivery routes to reduce transportation costs, minimize fuel consumption, and enhance delivery speed.
- Collaborate with Pharmacy, Retail, and Purchasing to optimize warehouse efficiencies.
- Ability to create and manage contracts and monitor performance to contract terms and conditions and reduce exposure to risk factors.
- Develop and implement strategies for client, depot, and clinic deliveries from multiple locations. Optimize total Route Planning (TRP) to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Responsible for the scheduling and execution of all modes of transportation - Full time/part employees, contract drivers, 3rd party carriers.
- Route Optimization: Optimize delivery routes to reduce transportation costs, minimize fuel consumption, and enhance delivery speed.
- Performance Metrics: Maitnain contractual customer KPIs and department key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reporting mechanisms to track and measure the performance of the logistics operations
- Hire, onboard, develop, counsel, and coach leadership and non-leadership personnel to ensure their own development and the success of their teams.
- Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety, Quality, and HR policies and regulations.
- Ensure adherence and usage of SOPs and quality procedures, as per ISO guidelines and Yurek policies and procedures, throughout all departments.
- Prepare annual operating budget and meet the commitments.
- Monitor KPIs regularly (both team and supplier performance - quality, delivery, customer, cost, safety) and ensure proper, robust, and timely corrective actions.
- Serve as an escalation point for any customer or patient concerns.
- Continuously identify, lead, and implement projects, initiatives, and learnings to improve the overall department performance through leveraging Lean Six Sigma, Technology, Change Management, and other best practices.
- Identify synergies across locations to improve the overall performance of a department and create a One Yurek experience for employees and customers.
- Works with the Buyer to ensure Supply Chain delivery and quality issues are resolved.
- Manages expenses required for the daily operation of the fleet and warehouse.
- Ensures the timeliness of vehicle procurement, preventative maintenance, repair, and redeployment of assets across all sites.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Job Requirements**:

- 10+ years’ experience in a leadership capacity in manufacturing company in logistics and operations management, order fulfillment, warehouse management, and shipping/receiving.
- Have user experience in Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics)
