**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Team Lead, the Tester will be responsible for various electrical and mechanical testing of our product, according to established procedures and guidelines.

**Primary/Essential Responsibilities**:

- Perform a variety of electrical and mechanical tests, including but not limited to: hi-pot testing, kocos testing, Phenix testing, etc.
- Visually inspect product prior to testing to detect conformance to standards
- Inspect testing equipment and test booth/cage for proper operation
- Prepare product for test by safely making the connections required for test being performed
- Separate non-conforming parts
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of testing tasks as needed
- Inspect all work and insure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operation
- Provide electrical/mechanical assembly as required as per business needs
- Consults with team lead when making decisions regarding complex or unusual circumstances

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Technical College/University graduate in electrical or mechanical studies is an asset
- A minimum of one (1) year working experience in a testing position
- Previous experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Demonstrated working knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and bill of materials
- Demonstrated ability of use of small hand and power tools
- Demonstrated basic electrical knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety is critical
- Results-oriented, self-motivated individual with a sense of initiative
- Ability to independently identify and develop solutions to problems that may arise in the course of work
- Ability to work independently and as a team player while solving problems and multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
- Take responsibility for their own safety and those around them by following safety & environmental rules and regulations
