Are you committed to protecting your community? Blackbird Security is seeking to hire **Tactical Security Guards** in **Sault Ste Marie, Ontario **for a variety of retail sites.

**What you will do**
- Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
- Document theft and other security violations
- Observe the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner
- Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
- Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required
- A Valid Security License
- A keen interest in asset protection
- Willing to stand for the duration of the shift
- Previous security experience in a retail environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills’
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Must be willing and comfortable to follow site protocol to prevent theft
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters is an asset
- Use of Force Certification is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Security: 1 year (preferred)
- Loss prevention: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (required)
- Use of Force Certification (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Sault Ste. Marie, ON (preferred)

Work Location: In person
