The Rideau Hall Foundation (RHF) is an independent and non-political charitable organization that serves to shine a light on Canadian excellence, and to create the conditions for more Canadians to succeed and to thrive.
Today the RHF has become a catalytic platform to connect people, causes and organizations which - while they will exist for differing purposes - share a common belief in and commitment to the potential of Canada.
The Digital Communications Advisor will support initiatives of the RHF’s Communications and Innovation Portfolios including the Queen Elizabeth Scholars, the Forum for Young Canadians, Ingenious+, the Governor General’s Innovation Awards and the Canadian Innovation Week. This summer internship will provide valuable paid work experience to a post-secondary student in digital communication and marketing fields.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Creating and executing digital content across several web and digital platforms (e.g., social media, web sites, e-newsletters, etc.)
- Presenting and maintaining RHF’s brand messaging to external audiences.
- Assisting communications leads in digital and social media campaigns.
- Assisting with the development of strategies to grow RHF’s brand and reach.
- Assisting in development and execution of digital marketing campaigns.
- Monitoring social media accounts and engaging where appropriate.
- Analyzing and managing metrics related to digital efforts.
- Helping with ad hoc communications related tasks as determined.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Be between 18 and 30 years of age and have successfully completed at least one year of post
- secondary studies in marketing and/or communications. Digital marketing and communications specialty an asset.
- Experience and/or demonstrated interest in issues related to social media marketing and digital communications.
- Strong English written and verbal communication. Proficiency in French and/or Indigenous languages an asset.
- General understanding of the social media and digital marketing landscape.
- Ability to develop social media content (text and graphics).
- Ability to work in teams and independently.
- Demonstrated flexibility and initiative in completing tasks.
**WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT**
- The RHF is a dynamic work environment that values collaboration, creativity and trying new things.
- Flexibility to work select evening and weekends as required.
**Salary**: $21.00 per hour, 37.5hrs per week.
