Experiential Education Assistant

**Purpose**:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Experiential Education, the Experiential Education Assistant will provide a high level of administrative and customer support to facilitate experiential education opportunities in the Faculty of Education.

**Education**:
College diploma in a related field, such as general business, education, communications, community development, or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

**Experience**:
Two (2) years recent, related experience providing administrative and customer service support including working with community organizations, schools, or similar experiential education partnerships, using a Student Information System (SIS) and/or a similar database/customer relationship system including record maintenance, updates and reports

**Skills**:
Office 365, MS Forms, MS SharePoint, MS Word (intermediate), MS Excel (basic to intermediate), Zoom or similar remote tools/technologies.
Accurate data entry and record keeping essential, including retrieval and report generation using online systems.
Excellent organizational skills, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to maintain confidentiality including familiarity with FIPPA legislation.
Positive relationship building skills.
Initiative, good judgement and ability to pro-actively respond to situations.
Deals courteously and effectively with people (clients and co-workers).
Exercises tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
Excellent attention to detail.
Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
