Patry Group of Companies is seeking a talented and motivated Student - Urban Planner to join our team for a summer internship opportunity. This position offers an invaluable learning experience and the chance to contribute to exciting projects that shape communities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the urban planning team in conducting research, data analysis, and preparing reports related to various development projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and designers, to develop comprehensive site plans and proposals.
- Conduct site visits and contribute to site analysis, evaluating factors such as land use, transportation, and environmental impact.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, public consultations, and community engagement initiatives.
- Stay updated on relevant planning policies, regulations, and industry trends.
**Requirements**:
- Currently enrolled in a recognized urban planning or related program at a university or college.
- Knowledge of urban planning principles, land use regulations, and development processes.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in GIS and other planning software is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
