**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Research and respond to data privacy and protection questions
- Develops and maintains key privacy documents, including policies, procedures, notices, and guidance notes, across all jurisdictions in the region
- Monitor changes and developments in relevant privacy laws and updates protocols and procedures in line with these changes
- Monitor compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations
- Advise on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs)
- Collaborate with and advise other key internal teams to integrate privacy measures into new processes, systems, and projects as applicable
- Lead the response to privacy requests, queries, complaints and reporting relating to projects, employees, external parties, contract clauses
- Coordinate with other internal teams to handle data incidents
- Work with the Data Privacy Managers in other regions to ensure a consistent approach, where possible, to managing personal data
- Devise, conduct and lead data privacy training
- Establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Americas region to become the ‘go-to’ person for queries in the region

**Is this role right for you?**
- 5+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance
- Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian laws and global privacy principles, including California Consumer Privacy Act, Quebec’s Law 25, Law 1581 of 2012 in Colombia
- Recognized privacy certification/qualification
- Bachelor’s degree
- General understanding of cyber security
- Proven experience in risk management and mitigation strategies
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop professional presentations, reports, and summaries
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to implement and manage compliance programs and work collaboratively with other internal teams
- Bilingual in French is preferred
