Chef Steward

**Résumé**: Superviser le service d’intendance. Le chef steward dirige, ordonne et affecte du personnel qui s’acquitte de fonctions telles que la préparation et le service des repas. Le chef steward s’assure de la propreté des quartiers des officiers et des sections du service d’intendance. Le chef steward peut également réquisitionner ou acheter des réserves et des équipements.

**Tâches et responsabilités clés**

Sous la direction du capitaine en ce qui a trait à toutes les autres tâches et responsabilités décrites dans le système de gestion de la sécurité (SMS) de l’entreprise, ou à la demande du capitaine.
- En charge du service d’intendance
- Veiller à ce que le personnel respecte les normes de propreté et d’hygiène exigées d’un service d’alimentation.
- Inspecter des zones de travail telles que la cuisine, réserve, etc.
- S’assurer que le personnel d’intendance possède la formation appropriée
- S’assurer d’un suivi adéquat des évaluations d’employé de son service
- S’assurer de l’efficacité de son département et empêcher le gaspillage
- S’assurer du contrôle de l’inventaire lié à son département
- S’assurer que la bonne documentation est conservée
- S’assurer que le personnel d’intendance connaît et applique le règlement sur la SSTM

**Prérequis**
- Être un citoyen canadien
- Posséder un passeport canadien valide dont la date d’expiration est supérieure à six (6) mois à compter de l’entrée en fonction
- Posséder un certificat médical valide de Transports Canada avec une validité de six (6) mois à compter de l’entrée en fonction
- Posséder la certification requise pour le poste occupé conformément aux Normes de formation des gens de mer, de délivrance des brevets et de veille (STCW) et les amendements de Manille 2010 pour un navire opérant dans des eaux illimitées
- Obtenir et conserver une cote de vérification de fiabilité approfondie. Il est impératif de détenir une autorisation de sécurité comme l’exige le contrat de prestation de services entre Federal Fleet Services et Sa Majesté la Reine du chef du Canada, représentée par le ministre des Services publics et Approvisionnement Canada.
