**Blaster/Powder Applicator (Night Shift)**

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Load and unload parts as components come out of fabrication, and enter the auto blaster/blast booth, and powder coat line
- Manually blast frames and parts evenly with the correct profile
- Use power, air, and hand tools and do general maintenance of the blast and paint booth
- Maintain detailed records pertaining to projects including but not limited to paint thickness, bake time, bake temperature, and ambient environment readings (humidity/temperature)
- Take direction from Production supervisor as needed for specific products or projects
- Set up the powder coat line for operation, troubleshoot any minor malfunctions, and report major malfunctions to production supervisor
- Sign off on parts and check for quality on all parts leaving the paint booth
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues when necessary, providing on the job training and sharing knowledge as needed while working autonomously on assigned tasks
- Clean and maintain work area and personal protective equipment.
- Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies, and procedures

**Academic/Licensing Requirements**

A secondary or post-secondary education diploma or equivalent is preferred

**Required Skills/Experience**
- At least two years of industrial painting in a manufacturing setting is required
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Problem solving skills is considered an asset
- Learn on the job and read a variety of materials to learn about new products and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and properly use hand tools and power tools
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided)
- Ability to stay organized and prioritize effectively
- Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbal
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail

**Experience**:

- blasting: 1 year (preferred)
- Industrial painting: 1 year (preferred)
