We operate from locations at either end of Canada: Halifax (Dartmouth) on the Atlantic Coast, and Victoria on the Pacific Coast. At AML, we do things a bit differently. Think daily huddles. Our Production team is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our cohesive and flexible team. This is an opportunity to join a core group in a high-growth company. Mission of this role is: _Driving to be better._ **Functional Accountabilities**: - Quality Driven - Constantly strive to improve quality, and ensure production records are accurate. Achieve 90% build yields or better. - Build Efficiency - Improve throughput without compromising on quality. Complete all jobs for the week more than 95% of the time; identify any schedule issues in advance. - Team Performance - Proactively provide assistance to team members to achieve the weekly department goals. - Culture & Change - Promotes AML's culture and supports team members. Embraces change with excitement and passion. - Safety Ownership - Highly aware of health and safety hazards. Proactively identify health and safety concerns and assist with resolution. Hold yourself and others accountable for adhering to safe work practices. - Process Improvement - Identifies and helps implement at least two opportunities for improvement each quarter. - Cross Training - Learn at least one new product/process per quarter or train another team member on at least one new product/process. **Competencies & Strengths**: - Meticulous & Detail Oriented - High level of manual dexterity with an aptitude for meticulous, detail oriented assembly. Getting it right the first time with mínimal re-work. - Electrical & Mechanical Expertise - A gift for assembly of prefabricated parts. Can effectively use a computer, assembly tools, and has strong soldering skills. - Troubleshooting Skills - Can troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems. Ability to distinguish symptoms from root cause. - Aptitude for Process Improvement - Ability to think in terms of process. Can visualize steps and sequencing. Is able to distinguish what adds value. - Communication Skills - Can communicate effectively in a clear, concise, and professional manner; both written and verbal. Responsive to the needs of internal and external customers. - Product Knowledge - Able to learn about product functionality and various device measurement theories. **Duties & Responsibilities**: - Build sub-assemblies, instruments, and sensors - Minimize out-of-box failures, strive for very high levels of quality - Contribute to improving build yields and other improvement opportunities - Maintain accurate documentation - Communicate SOP discrepancies to Operations Engineering - Assist team members with training and troubleshooting - Other duties as required Pay: $48,000.00-$54,000.00 per year
