In the position of**Parts Manager**, reporting to the **General Manager**, you will be responsible for the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the parts department operations.
- **You will be accountable for**_**:
- Forecasting goals and objectives for the department and striving to meet them.
- Hiring, training, motivating, and monitoring the performance of all parts department staff.
- Preparing and administering an annual operating budget for the parts department.
- Managing and executing wholesale growth year over year.
- Managing and growing tire sales year over year.
- Maintaining a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, wholesale accounts, and the do-it-yourself public.
- Establishing pricing parameters in each customer category that generate enough gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
- Establishing individual parts inventory levels and balancing them for maximum turnover.
- Ensuring that parts inventory turns (established #) times per year.
- Monitoring and adjusting inventory to minimize obsolescence.
- Ensuring that all parts are properly tagged so that the dealership recovers full credit from the factory.
- Supervising stock order procedures.
- Handling customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines.
- Ensuring that all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made.
- Holding weekly department meetings and attending manager meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- **To be successful in this role, you must have**:_
- 5+ years of experience as a Parts Manager or similar position.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
- Inventory management and control.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Word and Excel preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend, think effectively, and react appropriately under pressure.
- Strong leadership ability and inventory management skills.
- Ability to manage employees.
- Ability to grow department sales both wholesale and retail.
