**About Us**:
aēras is Canada’s answer to premium bottled water—bottled exclusively in glass at our dedicated water-only facility in Ontario. As a fast-growing brand rooted in quality, sustainability, and thoughtful design, we’re redefining how Canada shows up on the global stage.

We are scaling rapidly, and to support this momentum, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our accounting team on a full-time basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Process payroll and maintain employee records.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing.
- Collaborate with external auditors as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team.

**Qualifications**:

- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance/related field
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional accounting work experience, preferably with a focus on product-based businesses
- Proficient in QuickBooks, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with tax preparation and supporting outside accountancy firms.

**More about this role**:

- Salary - $27/hour
- Work schedule - 09:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday
- Permanent position following the completion of a probationary period.
- Must be able to commute daily to our head office in downtown Toronto.
- Interviews will take place at our East York facility, with occasional visits to this location possibly required upon hiring.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 - 44 per week
