Due to our continued growth and success, we are currently recruiting an Electrical Estimator to join our team at our head office located in Port Coquitlam, BC.

**What You will be Doing**

You will be a key member of the Electrical Solutions Team and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks ranging from analyzing costs, preparing estimates of industrial electrical projects, and identify ways to continually improve cost-estimating procedures. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Review and understand tender specifications and drawings and follow through with estimating process to develop competitive bids
- Produce all costs for tender submission - material, labour, equipment, subcontractor through estimating software to develop accurate quotation
- Accurately interpret technical specifications for bid documents
- Assisting in developing technical proposals
- Enter quotes into cost estimating software
- Develop innovative ideas during to estimating process to maximize cost savings and increase competitivity
- Engage suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing to incorporate into estimate
- Proactively manage and incorporate scope changes
- Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specification, wording etc.
- Assists with prequalification, RFQ’s and RFI submissions as required
- Participate in closing the bid, including bid meetings etc.

You are a highly detail-oriented individual who demonstrates outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. You are looking to join a driven, high-performance team who is focused on growth. You embrace and encourage change, communicate clearly and concisely, and work to constantly improve process and project delivery. The requirements to be successful in this role are as follows:

- Completion of postsecondary electrician training program
- Electrical Engineering degree or diploma or related field is advantageous
- Valid electricians license
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial electrical estimating experience
- In-depth understanding of the BC Electrical Safety Code
- Strong computer skills with estimation software, experience with Acubid is an asset
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
