A Landfill Labourer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labour duties at a waste management company, transfer station, materials recycling facility or landfill. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, such things as yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance and other related duties.
**This position is part time seasonal (from April 1 - November 30) on Tuesdays from 8am - 5pm and Saturdays from 8am - 4pm.**
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Ability to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise.
- Ability to use tools and equipment (e.g. hand and power tools etc.)
- Works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness.
- Maintains a feeling of pride in work; strives to achieve all goals.
- Should be physically fit, punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work in all weather.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Must have own transportation
- Must be able/willing to work 12-hour shifts
**Principal Responsibilities**
- Safely and efficiently perform assigned responsibilities to include such duties as: clean up work areas; fuel vehicles and equipment; clean track on track-type and related equipment; perform yard work including mowing and paper pick-up; operate general site vehicles and equipment such as pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, trimming equipment etc; perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work; install temporary wind fences as required; direct traffic at the site as necessary.
- Help equipment operators and other skilled labour when necessary.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- This position is Tuesday and Saturdays only (Seasonal).
- Start Date is September 1, 2025
- We use ADP Workforce Now app for punching in and out.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
