Requirements:

- Well-maintained equipment. Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience. Strong references. Prior experience with reefer trailers is an asset.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate and maintain your own truck to transport freight across various routes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on your vehicle as needed to ensure optimal performance.

**Skills**
- Proficiency in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Experience in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
- Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot and resolve minor vehicle issues.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety regulations and accurate record keeping.
