As a Food Service Worker at Saint Mary's University's Food Court, you’ll take on the important task of providing exceptional service to our guests - the students, faculty and staff of Saint Mary's University. The best part? It’s just the starting point of your career, so launch your future with us

**Responsibilities**:

- Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all guests
- Educate customers on menu items, daily features, and promotions
- Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
- Assist with the preparation of food items in accordance with each Food Court component menu
- Stock and merchandise shelves, fridges and freezers
- May wash and sanitize component dishes and utensils
- May perform light cash handling duties such as processing customer transactions, opening and closing cash systems
- Record temperatures, label products in accordance with FIFO, complete waste log and cleaning log
- Adhere to all Aramark policies and procedures including occupational health and safety and food safety
- May perform other job duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in the restaurant/food service industry considered an asset
- Experience with cash handling considered an asset
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Must be flexible, as evening and weekend work is required

This is a union position with SEIU Local 2.
