**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Submit purchase / work orders to vendors/subcontractors and obtain order acknowledgement.
- Receive and process PO requests from the field and document reason for variance.
- Manage Small purchases, best price. Pricing and PO to be issued prior to authorization to supplier.
- Participate in vendor/subcontract pre-qualification process and documentation prior to start of work.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and manufacturers.
- Track allowances for contracts.
- Assist the head of the “The Accounting department “ to update project costs, and variances.
- Consult with accounting department prior to issuing Visa orders.
- Continuously follow-up with Vendors regarding open orders and cost management, as well as work through issues that may arise with a vendor/subcontractor; including, but not limited to pricing issues, quality concerns, scheduling, etc.
- Supply PO copies to accounting department for reconciliation.
- Organize purchase order process and filing system.
- Issue PO’s for services needed for the construction projects based on plan and budget measurements and construction schedules.
- Research pricing information and participate in bid leveling.
- Assist with creating and working through specifications.
- Assist with estimating, purchasing for material takeoffs as needed.
- Job site visits, as required.
- Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
- Prepare reports regarding materials status.
- Track Inventory
- Resolve any problems that may arise.
- Collaborate with architects, Design consultsants, and key team members of the project team to supply delivery and issues.
- Ensure all deadlines are met.
- Requires ability to maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: college degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years construction purchasing experience.
- Computer proficiency: MS Office Suite, 365, Excel, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials.
- Highly organized with attention to detail
